Following footsteps of Swami Vivekanand

         Swami Vivekanand B. Ed. College is located in the panoramic hill station of Simultala. It is proposed to start in 2017-18 academic session. Dr. Umesh Prasad Gupta is the great visionary behind this Teacher’s Training College. There were basically three reasons behind the establishment of this institute. One was to establish a school of education on the ideals of the great Indian philosopher Swami Vivekanand. His views on education is widely discussed and followed among scholars of the world. Even after being a philosopher, he had very deep understanding on the subject. The society greatly respects and admires his ideology. Another reason behind establishment was to provide a good alternative in the era of declining education in schools and commercialization of the school education. This issue is affecting society in many negative ways. In order to control the situation, there is need for good and motivated trained teachers. This could be possible only then when more but good teacher’s training institute will be opened. The condition of education in Jamui district where our proposed Swami Vivekanand B.Ed College, Simultala will be opened, is even worse. Currently there is only one teacher’s training institute in the entire district. The Jamui district is not only educationally but also economically and socially backward region. So our proposed teacher’s training institute will prove to be very beneficial for this area.
